On with Adventure , now that Angela is with us we went into tour overdrive. on of the first places we went after Haifa and Ako, was Nazareth. where we planned to walk from close to Cana- close to Tiberius . This walk was called the 'Jesus Trail ' in honor of the path ways he would of walked in his ministry .
Our accommodations.
This place was a burntout ruin that a jewish man bought in the heart of the arab section of the old city with the idea of turning into a place where the pilgrims who come to the churches in the area can stay over night.
what a knock out ! we came on the Friday afternoon to prepare for our 10k walk on the Jesus trail the next day. here is a picture of the three of us in a common area. you can learn more about his inn here:

here are the three of us on our Jesus Trail walk. we will end up on that mt in the far background.
I have such a better appreciation for the people in the bible and how much time it took them to get places. we read a story where Jesus turned the water into wine in Cana .(this is where we started our walk)
Joh 2:12 After this he went down to Capernaum, with his mother and his brothers and his disciples, and they stayed there for a few days.
and what a day it was! we were with a few others, one Israeli, a Belgium, an Indian, a German/American , a Frenchman , . we walked through olive tree orchards and over mountains and valleys , all the while singing,(praising God), sharing information on who Yeshua ( Jesus) was and what he was all about. I guess not a lot of people know the bible and since I do I ended up doing the most talking. (no surprise there)
this is an ancient synagogue on mt Arbel for sure this was during Yeshua's time and he would have been here . this was soooooo cool to be here and walk in the ruins. we got to see where the ark (torah scrolls cupboard) was housed an you can learn more about this amazing spot here.: http://www.biblewalks.com/Sites/arbel.html
this is our view looking back from where we came on the other side of the mt in the distance.
this is the view from the top of the mt.. Capernaum would be on the other side of the lake way in the distance.

the next day we we explored the Gallilee, we started with a trip on a fishing boat named FAITH. It was docked in Ginosar behind the museum that houses a 2000year old fishing boat from the time of Jesus. learn more here: http://www.jesusboat.com/story-of-the-jesus-boat
In this picture below the crew showing us how they fish exactly like they would in Yeshua's time , except the net is nylon not wool.. it really is one of my favorite places the Galilee. on the boat we sang worship songs and prayed and just soaked it all in..I wondered if I was floating over the exact place Yeshua walked on water . there is such peace here.

after the boat we visited Capernaum . Yeshua's head quarters during his ministry. this ruin of a synagogue was absolutely amazing ! I am just posting one picture ,but boy we had fun taking a lot of time with pictures here .

after we left here and went up Banius which used to be called in Yeshua's time Caesarea Philippi, located at the foot of Mount Hermon in the Golan Heights. you can read about it in the bible
you can check out awesomeness for yourself here:http://www.biblewalks.com/Sites/Banias.html

so we moved on to The Mount Bental overlook. It's beautiful and provides stunning views of Mount Hermon and the Golan. Located in the Golan Heights, Mount Bental is 1,170 meters above sea level. we could see Syria from where we and old bunkers from the Yom Kipper war, you can more about it here:http://www.touristisrael.com/mount-bental/5821/ our taxi driver even came up to see the view here because he said he had never been there and now will bring his family to see the sights.

The Girls decided to go back to Jerusalem and I stayed by myself in the Gallilee area at a wonderful Christian guest house called Beit Bracha . After over 80 days of tavelling with others I welcomed the opportunity to be by myself in this special place.
this is the view of the Gallilee from the guest house. I lay out on the deck that night and watched the satrs , they seemed bigger, brighter and closer than ever. my heart was so full of joy, in those quiet moments. the next day I spent it all on the mt of beatitudes reading scripture and praying . I had a lot more insite on the sermon on the mt when I was on the very mount Yeshua spoke those words. in the distance I could see the city on the hill .
Mat 5:14 "You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden
And he opened his mouth and taught them, saying:
"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
"Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
"Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.
"Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.
"Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.
"Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. "Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
"Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account.
Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
"You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people's feet.
"You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house.
In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished.
Therefore whoever relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
