SHABBAT SERVICE AND NEW FREINDS

So here we are trying to find a Shabbat service to attend within walking distance when we get two suggestions on the same day one from Saskatchewan and one from Jerusalem and they are for the same place. And  to top it off Zoe was wanting to go to the congregation  where a Bible translator she knows of attends this assembly, so you guess it! Its all the same place and its within walking distance! Hallelujah.   Now if that doesn't seem like a Devine appointment wait it gets better....... wait for it........ wait ......... Lisa arrives 1/2 an hour early! THERE IS A GOD THAT STILL PREFORMS MIRICLES!  some of you will get this right away some of you will get this 10 seconds later. LOL

So this is a Hebrew language  (with translation in to English) messianic Jewish assembly. No one here calls it church because they recognise it is the same  word  'assembly or congregation' in the original languages from Genesis to Revelation, some one sometime long  ago decided to make up a word "church" and use it only in the apostolic scriptures translations. (I will post a link to more on that at the end of the blog)

On our way we came across an English  couple ( from England) strolling along the street and both Zoe and I wondered  to ourselves if they were going to the assembly as well. Sure enough we met them in the  service  and because we were all new and English speakers they put us together and it was instant connections!    Really I don't want to boar you with all the details but the conversations went something like  this . 
 
US: DO YOU KNOW THIS  BOOK ........bla ...bla....bla..?
THEM :  I CANT BELIEVE IT  THATS OUR FAVORITE BOOK!
THEM : WE LOVE THIS PROGRAM.... such and such.
US :  OH REALLY THAT IS  OUR FAVORITE PROGRAM !
THEM : THIS IS WHAT WE JUST GOT A REVELATION ABOUT IN SCRIPTURE.......
US : I CANT BELIVE THAT WE ARE JUST STUDYING THAT AND DISCOVERED THAT TOO....
THEM: DO YOU KNOW .. so and so's   MINSITRY?
US : WE LOVE THAT MINSTRY WE FOLLOW THEIR  TEACHING EVERY WEEK!

 And so on and so forth.......!   well our course they had to come to our cottage for lunch and we had a wonderful day discussing our faith and sharing and we read this weeks Torah (scripture) portion together which is all our custom on Saturday  back at our respective homes.  We now have friends who have been here before and know some of the same people we were planning to visit, and are going to some of the same events we were wanting to go to . Naturally I thank God for bring us Divine appointments which was what we asked for  right?

It is so interesting that-There are People that have come out from all the nations of the earth to meet here this Tishrei  (September) month in Israel to pray not only for Israel but for their own  tribes and nations to abandon their Idolatry and  turn to the one true God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob.  Seriously we have been running into groups of them crying out upon the walls of the old city  and their cry is very powerful. We walked by one the other day and got goose bumps !

 I cant think of anywhere I would rather be than in this city where so many people groups love the God of Israel and want to dedicate to Him their praise and follow His  commandments .

HALLELUYAH!

HOW GOOD IT IS TO SING  PRAISES TO OUR GOD!

HOW SWEET, HOW FITTING TO PRAISE HIM!

ADONAI IS REBUILDING YERUSHALAYIM,

GATHERING THE DISPERSED OF ISRAEL.

HE HEALS THE BROKENHEARTED 

AND BINDS UP THEIR WOUNDS.
